Troubleshooting

Fixes for the most common connection and setup problems.

"Unauthorized" or "Invalid or expired access token"

Your sign-in has expired or the token was revoked. Reconnect DolphinQ in your AI client's connector settings, or generate a fresh token in Workspace Settings → Integrations and update your config. Then retry the request.

My AI doesn't see DolphinQ's tools

  • Restart your AI client after changing its config.
  • Check the URL is exactly https://mcp.dolphin-q.com/.
  • In Claude Code, run /mcp to see the server's status and sign in.
  • Ask your AI to call say_my_name to confirm the connection.

The sign-in page didn't open

Most clients print the sign-in link if they can't open a browser — open it manually, sign in, and choose your workspace.

My AI can't read a Notion page, Google Doc, or artifact

DolphinQ stores the link; your AI reads the content through its own connectors. Make sure the matching connector (Notion, Google Drive, etc.) is set up and signed in in your AI client.

A dependency was skipped

Dependencies must form a graph without loops. An edge that would create a cycle is returned in skipped[] — usually the direction is reversed. Ask your AI to check with list_dependencies.

Raw JSON or odd formatting in replies

Smaller or local models may print raw tool output or ignore DolphinQ's formatting instructions. Use Claude or Codex for the best results.
